grateful for this day

My guy said a prayer all by himself today, without any prompting from me at all. It may have been his first without our help. I cried. It was a tender mercy reminding me of the huge spirit in this tiny body. It was the moment that turned my day around for the better.

I hadn't even sat down for lunch yet, but the food was served.

"I want to pray for the lunch, mommy."
"OK"
"Dear Heavenly Father. We're grateful for this day. In Jesus' name, amen."

I, too, am grateful for this day.
